And I want to talk about something that doesn't get discussed enough in money work: the stories we inherit that aren't even ours.

Let me tell you about a client who discovered she'd been carrying her mother's fear for decades.

She's an event producer and homesteader, and when she came into our work together, she had this pattern. Money would come in, and she'd spend it immediately. Like there was this urgency to use it before it disappeared. And she felt guilty about it, like she was being irresponsible or impulsive.

But when we looked at her Abundance Codes—which come from her Venus and Jupiter placements in astrology—we uncovered something deeper.

Her Venus is in Cancer in the fifth house. Her Jupiter is in Taurus in the third house. These placements show that she's designed to receive and expand through heart-centered creation, through nurturing, through building something sustainable and beautiful.

But there was this block. This pattern of spending money before she could even enjoy having it. And as we dug into it, she realized where it came from.

Her mother used to be terrified of looking at the bank account. Her mom would say she was scared it would all be gone. And my client had absorbed that fear. She'd taken her mother's story—"the money will disappear"—and made it her own reality by spending it before it could.
And here's what she said when she realized this: "I've taken her story and it fed into: if there's money, I'll spend it."

She also said something really powerful after we uncovered her Abundance Codes: "Heart-centered approach isn't naive."

Because that's what she'd been told, right? That her intuitive, nurturing, creative approach to money was somehow foolish. That she needed to be more pragmatic, more fearful, more protective.

But her codes revealed the opposite. Her design is to expand through trust. Through heart. Through believing that money can support beautiful things.

The fear wasn't hers. And it was directly conflicting with how she's actually wired to work with abundance.

She told me she processed this realization while driving with her mom. Just being in the car, music on, letting it move through her body. And she said: "This is where I break it."
