The Rebellion Against Cosmic Red Lights

I'm not here to beg the skies. I'm here to move, to test, to try. So Mercury said "nah," and I said "go." Let's see where this retrograde wants to flow.

Here's the thing – I do not check the stars, check the transits, or check my app to see what's going on so that I can know what to do or not to do, to get some kind of external authority to tell me what I cannot do. That's not how I use the tool of astrology.

Maybe it's because I have so much Scorpio in me, so when it comes to an aspect being challenging, I'm like, "bring it." Maybe it's because of the Aquarius in me that makes me a rebel. Whatever it is, I have never approached or used astrology as any kind of damning or deterministic guidance that I'm going to let mess with my flow.


Astrology as Alignment, Not Authority

Astrology is not meant to tell you not to go. It's not a red light, it's not meant to tell you to stop. It is an alignment tool – a very powerful one when we're talking about what I see as right relationship with astrology.

We're not stopping at red lights of "bad" transits or unfavorable ones. We're not going at green lights of favorable cosmic weather. It really is just about being aware of what the matrix or constellation of archetypes and energy is in the present moment.

Alignment, the way that I frame and understand and live by it, is all about responsiveness, not adherence necessarily. It's about attuning to the energy, not outsourcing your decision making to the transits.


Mercury Retrograde: Reroute, Not Roadblock

When it comes to Mercury Retrograde specifically, it is not a red light. It is a reroute and it is a huge missed opportunity for so many people.

Mercury governs your mental operating systems internally and your tech systems as an external projection of that mental map. So when it retrogrades, even though it may seem like chaos, what's actually happening is like your cosmic dashboard lighting up.

It's like a check engine light coming on, or in this case, a check operating system. When the slowdowns happen, when things don't happen as they used to, when things aren't flowing as expected, you're getting that notification. You're not being punished. Mercury is not doing this to you – it's happening for you.


The Gift in the Glitches

Those delays, those breakdowns, those things just not working that make you want to pull your hair out because they were working before and it doesn't make any sense – these are notifications, not obstacles.

What Mercury is pointing to is opening up an invitation in a very particular area of your internal or external operating system, whether that's your beliefs and thought patterns, or your tech systems and stack. It's an invitation for you to get curious, lean in, and ultimately to update and rewire how you think, organize, communicate, and set up your tech systems for more efficiency.

The friction you feel is something to remind you – it's not something you did wrong, you are not failing. There is an opportunity to find a better way in a specific area of your mental or tech map.


Why I Launched During Mercury Retrograde (On Purpose)

When this Mercury Retrograde rolled in a few days ago, like every other one I've experienced, I didn't freeze, I didn't cancel things. I actually decided to double down and schedule a live free training. And I did it during Mercury Retrograde – not only that, I did it on purpose.

This is the first of what will ultimately be many iterations of this webinar, which means there are so many learning curves on learning curves right now. Decisions, kinks to iron out, tweaks to make to what is ultimately going to become something repeatable.

When I realized that Mercury was retrograde, this became all too perfect. What happens when Mercury's retrograde? Things that you wouldn't know or notice otherwise get pointed out. Mercury Retrograde comes and points out the cracks, points out what is not ideal. I actually really want and crave that for this experience because the whole purpose is as the foundation for the refinement and perfecting that will follow.

I needed to take super messy action. I needed to give myself the cosmic permission to just let this first version be messy on purpose and take the pressure off for it to be even something that I like.


Your Mercury Retrograde Action Plan

Watch for the Notifications

In general, watch out for those notifications when they come, and reframe them as exactly that rather than things going wrong or glitches or failures. Pattern interrupt and correct yourself if you have a tendency to go somewhere else with it.

Whether it's a tech issue coming up, old ideas returning that feel conflicting, people from your past, or communication tension – just notice and realize, "Oh, I'm being notified right now."

Create Spaciousness

Don't force anything. Create some spaciousness around what's happening. Get observant and just notice, because not only are you being notified, there is something that wants to come through for you if you're paying attention and open to receive it.

Call Tech Support

Here's a really specific piece of advice: when something like this happens, call tech support. If you're not somebody that normally does that, try it for one Mercury Retrograde cycle and see if this ends up being as magical for you as it almost always is for me.

Have someone walk alongside you as you move through the issue. Not only are you going to feel supported instead of frustrated around what's not working, but 9 times out of 10, I end up learning something magical from that customer service representative – some missing piece I didn't even know about, not the reason I was calling for but something that gets revealed during that conversation.

Let the Reroute Happen

Retrogrades invite responsiveness. Be mindful and conscious in how you respond to those moments of notification and let the reroute happen. Get curious, because where you get redirected to might actually be better than what you had hoped would happen.


The Bigger Picture: Money, Timing, and Cosmic Design

Mercury Retrograde shows us how energy flows, and money is just a material version of that. This connects to timing, intentional design, and how all these things work together to position you in the CEO seat of the co-creatorship that is your business.

For so many magical manifesters, there's a certain flow you've come to rely on, but you're starting to wonder if it's actually supportive. The problem might be that you've grown, you've changed, and the way that you approach your money flow hasn't changed with you.

As we grow up, our dreams get bigger, and we need more structure and intention with the way we flow our money to be able to support that co-creation. There is a way to approach this where you don't have to lose your magic, but there are some avoidance patterns and serious mindset issues in the spiritual community that need to be addressed.


Your Sovereign Relationship with the Stars

If you take nothing else from this, remember: you do not need the stars to say yes before you make moves. You just need to know how to listen and how to respond, and how to create spaciousness when those notifications land.

Sometimes the delay is actually the direction. The glitch is actually the green light to "this way or something better." Sometimes the weird timing is exactly the portal you've been avoiding because it asks you to trust before you have proof, to get curious before you know where it's taking you.

Mercury Retrograde isn't here to stop you. It's here to show you how to move with the energy that's present, not to wait for it to behave or wait for things to be favorable so that you do what you feel like doing.
