We're in the first week of a brand new calendar year. Chiron just went direct in Aries, we just had a full moon in Cancer, and if you're anything like most entrepreneurs right now, you're probably feeling that cultural pressure to reinvent yourself. New year, new you, new money habits, new everything.

But what if that's not actually what your money needs from you right now?

Let me tell you about a client of mine. She came into our work together running six different revenue streams. Six. And she'd been told by pretty much everyone – business coaches, well-meaning mentors, probably her accountant – that she needed to simplify. Pick one thing. Focus. Get serious.

She felt scattered. Chaotic. Like she was doing it wrong.

But when we looked at her Money Mode – which comes from the astrological mode that opens both her second and eighth houses – everything shifted. Her Money Mode revealed she's what I call a Polyamorist with income. She's literally designed to have multiple streams flowing at once. It's how her nervous system creates stability. It's how she cross-pollinates ideas. It's what keeps her engaged and energized instead of bored and burnt out.

Her six revenue streams weren't a problem to fix. They were her design working exactly as intended.

She didn't need to burn it all down and start fresh. She needed permission to keep building on what was already working.
And I think there's something really important here for all of us in this first week of the new year.

Because there's this exhausting pattern I see – and honestly, I've lived it myself – where we keep starting over with money systems that never quite fit. We try the budgeting app. It doesn't stick. We try the spreadsheet. We avoid it for three months. We hire the bookkeeper. We feel shame every time we send them our receipts late.

And then January rolls around and we think: okay, THIS year. This is the year I finally get my act together.
But what if the problem isn't you?

What if you're not broken? What if you've just been using systems designed for someone else's nervous system?

So instead of asking yourself "what do I need to fix about my money?" – which is the question that leads to that awful shame spiral – try asking this:

"What does my money need from me right now?"

Not what does it need you to become. What does it need from you, as you are, today?

Maybe it needs you to look at it more regularly. Not because you're bad and undisciplined, but because your nervous system needs the reassurance of knowing where you stand.

Maybe it needs you to separate your business and personal accounts. Not as punishment for mixing them, but as a clean container that helps you see your business as the separate entity it actually is.

Maybe it needs you to stop comparing your revenue model to someone else's and honor the way you're actually designed to make money.
Leadership isn't about perfection. It's about presence.

And presence doesn't require you to start over. It just requires you to show up.

My client with the six revenue streams? By the end of our time together, she wasn't running fewer streams. She was running the same six – but with clarity, with systems that actually worked for her Polyamorist Money Mode, and with zero shame about her complexity.
