Gemini season has a reputation. Two-faced. Indecisive. All over the place. But what if the flip-flop isn't the problem? What if it's actually the engine behind some of your biggest growth?

That's what we're exploring in this episode – and we're doing it in true Gemini fashion, letting the thoughts meander and seeing where they land.

What Gemini Is Actually About

Before we go deeper, let's clear up what this archetype is really about – because the pop culture version doesn't do it justice.

Gemini is air element expressing through the mutable mode. Air is the realm of thoughts, intellect, and the mental world. Mutable means dynamic, cyclical, always in motion.

Put those together and you get this constant, evolving process – blind spots getting illuminated, new ideas entering the mix, old perceptions connecting in new ways. It's the dance of the twins, the two poles of duality, the back and forth between this and that.

Yes, Geminis can be flip-floppers. But that's not a flaw. It's the whole point.

The Spiral, Not the Balance

Here's the reframe that changes everything: neither side of any polarity is wrong, and the answer isn't to find some perfect balance between them.

The best path is usually a winding spiral – deepening into one extreme, then the other, in succession. Back and forth. Again and again.
That's not inconsistency. That's momentum.

Structure vs. Flow

This one shows up a lot, especially for entrepreneurs.

There are seasons where flowing and surrendering feels exactly right – where you're being guided and it's working. And then there are seasons where you're craving structure, a clear plan, something to submit to so you don't have to figure everything out from scratch.

Neither is better. Both are necessary.

After having my son, my brain was mush. I was pivoting from my previous business and had zero bandwidth to be in the driver's seat. So I took a contractor position with another company and completely thrived – until the call came to swing back into the uncertain, open space of flow again.

That swing wasn't a step backward. It was exactly what that season required.

Youth and Maturity – Not Always in That Order

This one's personal, and it didn't happen in a straight line.

At 19, I was in a serious relationship, owned a home, and was working at a mortgage company. Very grown up, very ahead of schedule.
Then came a second childhood – living in a van, dancing, exploring inner and outer worlds, playing really hard.

Eventually that ran its course, and I was ready to grow up again. The flip-flop back and forth was my path, and it's what got me to where I am now – which I genuinely love.

The Financial Rollercoaster

If you're an entrepreneur without a regular paycheck, the financial ups and downs are part of the deal. And until that becomes more normalized for you, it can come with some serious emotional swings too.

That's okay.

The gratitude at the top keeps you going in one way. The "oh sh*t" at the bottom motivates you in a completely different way. Both are doing something. Both are moving you.

Try falling asleep on a rollercoaster. You can't – and that's kind of the whole point.

Finding the Settle in the Swing

Maybe you find relative peace and stability in one area of life so you can give more bandwidth to the more extreme waves in another. That's not avoidance – that's strategy. That's the symphony working as designed.

So this Gemini season, when you find yourself whipped around by the back-and-forth, see if you can find the settle that's available in just accepting whatever part of the wave you're on.

The freshness that Gemini brings is what makes these waves of life and business so fun to ride.

You're not off track. You're on the spiral. And the spiral is exactly where the growth is.
